Dj of the week - Deadmau5

Born Joel Zimmerman on January 5, 1981, Deadmau5 rose to prominence when his track "Faxing Berlin" found its way onto the playlist of legendary DJ/producer Pete Tong's radio show. Deadmau5 soon became an important figure in the world of progressive house music, with his songs appearing on more than 15 compilation releases (including In Search of Sunrise, Vol. 6: Ibiza).

A native of Toronto, Canada, he released his work through his own label, Mau5trap Recordings, and scored a number of awards in 2008, including the Juno Award for "Dance Recording of the Year." He released Random Album Title that same year, pairing two versions of "Faxing Berlin" with ten additional club-worthy tracks. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide

It’s an approach that’s catapulted Deadmau5 into dance music’s A-list. It’s no exaggeration to say that he’s the most exciting name in clubland right now. Over the last three years he’s released a string of club hits, starting with the trance-house hybrid Faxing Berlin in 2006. It was followed last year by the euphoric filtered keys of Ghosts N Stuff, while this year he reached Number 14 with the lush atmospherics of I Remember, his collaboration with American producer Kaskade — the track has now sold over 120,000 copies.

Follow some tunes for you from the new album! Enjoy it!

Dj of the week - Airwave

Laurent Veronnez aka Airwave aka many many other guises was born in Brussels in 1977, he is a naturally gifted artist and this manifested in him at the age of just 7.Influenced by the 80's and 90's sounds and by greats such as Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Orbital, Oliver Lieb and BT, he honed his skills in music knowledge and technology.Laurent would then see demos picked up by the infamous Bonzai imprint in 1996 and the stunning Airwave - I want To Believe was released. In 1998 this was picked up by many top DJ's including Sasha and Oakenfold and later on by an up and coming DJ, Tiesto.Airwaves sound was and still is prominent in the UK and Dutch trance scene and this has helped a host of today's top DJ's be where they are now.

His infectious music spread further in 1999 to Germany, Italy and the world and now Airwave is a very popular name on the EDM scene with a huge, loyal fanbase.Versatility and great skill in the studio led to many collaborations including with his friend Jurgen Leyers with Fire & Ice and E.N.E.R.G.Y., Georges Petkidis on Planisphere and Marnik Braeckevelt with Antidote. The list continues with many other greats including Yves Deruyter, M.I.K.E., Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Tale, Marcus Schulz and John 00 Fleming, this is just the tip of the iceberg.Breaking boundaries and turning his hand to many genres of music Laurent has as many as 500+ productions and remixes under his belt. Laurent then started to develop his DJing and live performances and has played in some big venues, Slinky, Gatecrasher, Godskitchen, The Gallery, 1015, Dopler in Bratislava, and many others back in the day.In 2000 he embarked on a new wave of performance with gigs all over the world in England, Scotland, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Canada, Netherlands, Spain, Finland, Norway, Switzerland, South Africa, with totally improvised keyboards while DJing and the Triloset was born and continues to this day.Fast approaching 20 years in the business, Laurent can never be pigeon-holed to one genre as his impressive list of albums will attest. His first album Believe in 2002 performed very well and this was to do well again in the 2004 album I Want To Believe.

Trilogique soon followed and it is now that Laurent's passion starts to come through in a big way. Released first in 2006 this album contains three parts, bringing the audience three different tastes of electronic music into one single package, Trilogique would go on to be a huge success reaffirming Laurent's position in EDM. Many more albums followed and each have made their mark on the world.Time saw him finally running Bonzai Records with his long time partners and friends, and also expanding his knowledge of acoustics in order to develop his career as a producer and as a sound designer among others.Laurent runs a monthly radio show called Progrez where he showcases a wide range of music, this is followed religiously by his army of fans the world over. Music that is full of emotion, special and unique with expressed feelings, many have claimed it has changed their lives for the better.

When there are discussions on greats of EDM the name Airwave/Laurent always crops up.He has a deep respect among his peers for his beliefs on the industry and he speaks honestly about how he feels and where he sees his musical vision take him. One of the most gifted artists of our time and with a passion still very strong. Laurent's works under many of his guises of which Airwave is his most known one.Today we present his brand new 5th artist album Dark Lines which is the first chapter of a double album release to be released later in 2012.

Enjoy some great tunes! Don't miss your new release "Dark Lines"!

Dj of the week - Ferry Corsten

Producer. DJ. Pioneer. Innovator. Visionary. He’s the man that singlehandedly initiated a revolution in a dance musicgenre -one that’s long since touched everycorner of the globe. Having designed the Dutch trance sound, he propelled it into the clubbing consciousness and on further still into popular culture. From there he continues to innovate at every turn, working with vocalists as diverse as SimonLe Bon and Guru and has remixed music from some of the planet’s most enduring artists - U2, The Killers, Faithless, Moby and William Orbit among them. For 20 years he’s foreseen what club citizens want to dance to and as an artisan DJ/producer, delivered it. He’s released three artist albums under his own name (with a fourth ‘WKND’ scheduled for February 2012)and in doing so has captured the hearts and minds of legions of fans and scooped some of the world’s most prestigious music prizes along the way. He’s regularly ranked as one of the top 10DJs in the world, and of late has turned to charitable activities, working with the World Wildlife Fund.Yet through all this he’s still one of the most down-to-earth, two-feet-on-the-floor DJs you’ll find. He’s Ferry Corsten.

How It All Began: Corsten started his career performing self-composed music live in his native country Holland. His first studio music arrived in 1991 when he produced the embryonic rave track ‘Spirit of Adventure’. In 1995, under the name Hole In One and aged just 21 years old, he won the prestigious De Grote Prijs van Nederland award, which recognized his outstanding contribution to Holland’s electronic dance music scene.

Reinventing Trance: In the early 90s Ferry’s head was turned by the music streaming in from Germany. By 1996, with original trancesound beginning to contract, he set about creating a new, more accessible and ebullient principle for it. With a strong reception to his early tracks(Moonman’s ‘Don’t Be Afraid’ and Discodroids ‘Interspace’ among them), he launched Tsunami Records in ‘97 and a year later, under the alias System F, split the genre’s atom. A veritable EDM milestone, ‘Out Of The Blue’ formed spear tip of Corsten’s trance sound - one that was quickly galvanized by co-productions like Gouryella’s ‘Gouryella’(with Tiësto) and Veracocha’s ‘Carte Blanche’. Within 6 short months The Dutch Trance Sound(as it had become known) had seized control of Europe’s dancefloors and national charts. Ferry’sremix of William Orbit’s ‘Barber's Adagio For Strings’ became a top 5 in the UK, where his achievements were reflected by Muzik Magazine who named him as Producer of the Year at their 1999 Ericsson Muzik awards.

Superstar Producer Becomes SuperstarDJ: Demand to see the man behind the music had quickly placed Corsten behind turntables. He fast established a reputation for impassioned floor-igniting sets, which engaged and delighted an ever-expanding group of fans. From smashing the earliest trance scene events (inc. Innercity,Trance Energy and Dance Valley), there’s now not a metropolis on Earth that Corsten’s not rocked and re-rocked. He entered DJ Magazine’s Top 100 poll in the first year of voting and, as of 2011 has enjoyed an incredible unbroken 12-year run in the chart. He won Best Trance DJ at both the 2005 and 2007 Ibiza Awards and in the same year was named DJ of the Year by Dutch national radio station Slam!FM.

Right Of Way to L.E.F. In 2002, with the euphoric sound he’d engineered continuing to hold sway over dance airwaves, Corsten refused to play safe. Having changed the face of trance once,he ripped up his own rulebook and set out to do it again. Evolving it at speed, 2002 saw the release of ‘Punk’ and the following year ‘Rock Your Body, Rock’ (tracks which for the first time spliced an electro gene intotrance). Both exploded, with the latter hitting #11 in the UK national chart and were featured on his 2004 debutalbum, ‘Right Of Way’. That was followed by ‘L.E.F.’ in 2006 and (delivering on its ‘Loud Electronic Ferocious’ mandate) it saw Ferry begin to integrate some of his own earliest musical influences back into his music. Released on his new Flashover label, Corsten drafted 80s legends like Simon Le Bon, Howard Jones and Gangstarr founder, Guru into collaborate on the album, balancing them with trancier material like ‘Galaxia’ and floor-smash ‘Beautiful’.

Corsten’s Countdown: Midway through 2007 Ferry launched Corsten’s Countdown, his radio show platform. Each week, for the last five years, listeners have ranked the 10 tracks Ferry plays via the show’s website and his Facebook Fan Page. This in turn has created the most interactive radio show in the world, with its listeners determining a chart of the show’s music. To celebrate its 150th episode Ferry introduced the world to the Cue Play App, a mobile digital DJ application, which was pre-loaded with tracks from his Flashover label. Corsten’s Countdown is now aired in over 50 countries.

Flashover Recordings and Premier Recordings: In 2005, after 8 years at the helm, Ferry left Tsunami Recordings to launch a new label enterprise, Flashover Recordings. In addition to becoming his new musical base, it’s fostered new talent, signing the likes of Rafaël Frost, Arty, Tritonal, Yuri Kane and many more to its roster. Its releases proved such a hit with fans that it quickly spun off the imprints Flashover Progressive, Flashover Tech, Levare Recordings, Flashover Chill Out and Flashback (which houses Ferry's complete backcatalogue and also includes previously unreleased material). Expanding his label portfolio further, he launched Premier, a joint-venture label with Black Hole Recordings in 2010. Established as a platform for crossover dance music, Premier has subsequently released music from artists including Betsie Larkin, Chris Lake, Robbie Rivera, Radio Killer and Kris Menace.

Full On Ferry: Embarking ona new show concept In October of 2007, Full On Ferry saw him lynchpin the arena-sized events, handpicking other DJs for unique back-to-back sets. Notably, at the first two events, Ferry wowed the audience in his home city of Rotterdam by DJing whilst suspended above the crowd in a ‘floating’ booth. Full On Ferry: Ibiza saw him embark on a season-long White Isle takeover at the newly opened Sankeys club in 2011. The end of that year saw him bring the show to Brixton’s O2 Academy in London on New Years Eve for the first UK edition of the event. Various Full on Ferry events have already been scheduled for 2012.

Once Upon A Night / Twice In A Blue Moon: Ferry’s 3rd album under his own name was heralded by the single ‘Radio Crash’ and was unveiled to fans at 2008’s Full On Ferry event at the Ahoy in Rotterdam. ‘Twice In A Blue Moon’ carried the club hits ‘We Belong’, the Betsie Larkin-sung ‘Made of Love’ and in typical fashion more experimental material like the techno-edged ‘Brain Box’. It was released in the same year as Corsten’s first child was born and the title (and certain tracks, including ‘Gabriella’s Sky’) were inspired by events in Ferry’s life at the time. T.I.A.B.M.went on to spawn a major 40-date world release tour and the following year a remix edition and the ‘Backstage’ DVD.

It was whilst being interviewed for the ‘Backstage’ that Ferry announced plans for ‘Once Upon A Night’. Having enjoyed a long mix-comphistory (one that’s included 6 editions of the mega-selling Trance Nation series and his own Passport albums) Ferry entered a new mix era. Centred on material collated from his Flashover labeland exclusive to the ‘Once Upon a Night’ albums, in 2010 alone it spawned two volumes and a supporting world tour.

Aliases, In-Groups And Co-productions: Having now released tracks under more than 30 different artist names, Corsten has probably made greater use of aliases than any other producer working in the scene. Their impact has been felt far and wide, with some of his best known becoming next to synonymous with his own name. Chief among them have been System F, Moonman, Eon, Albion and Pulp Victim.

Co-producing on tracks like Gouryella’s ‘Gouryella’ and Veracocha’s ‘Carte Blanche’ he helped launch the careers of artists like Tiësto and Armin van Buuren. It is a studio dynamic he enjoys to this day… Having previously collaborated with artists as contrasting as Public Enemy and Simon Le Bon, he most recently re-teamed with Armin van Buuren (after System F’s ‘Exhale’) for the 2011 club smash ‘Brute’.

The Here-And-Now: Ferry marked 2 decades of working in electronic dance music in late 2011 with his 20 Years of Ferry Corsten mega-mix album. In releasing it in an App-only format, he became the first electronic dance artist to put out an album solely through this medium. Its multimedia release included 34 of his biggest hits, worked into the mix. On the singles front he released ‘Check It Out’, ‘Minack’, ‘Brute’ (co-produced with Armin) ‘Feel It’ and ‘So Good’ - the latter going out as a free-share track, as a ‘thank you’ in recognition of his fans loyalty. In October of 2011 Corsten joined forces with Olmeca Tequila, whose owners Pernod-Ricard launched a limited edition bottle, which Ferry himself designed. It was also the year that he became an ambassador for the Dutch World Wildlife Fund, where he has begun to leverage the exposure his events afford him to raise awareness for the Fund’s activities.

Early 2012 will see the release of Ferry’s fourth studio album ‘WKND’. The album was prefaced in late 2011 by the launch of Ferry’s new YouTube-based WKNDR webisodes, which take fans behind the scenes of his gigs and keeps them up to date with his production work.

Dj of the week - Markus Schulz

Introduction: Over the last 10 years Markus Schulz has fused the individual musical identities of progressive house & trance into his own creative and now inimitable hybrid sound. Through the unique alignment of his headline DJ sets, Coldharbour label output and highly prominent Global DJ Broadcast radio show, he orchestrated a sea change revolution in the US trance scene. This success has been singularly reflected in weekly headliner sets in front of many tens of thousands, a GDJB listenership up in the tens of millions & one Beatport chart-topping release after another. Following several highly ranked positions, in 2008 Schulz punched his way into the Top 10 of DJ Magazine’s Top 100 chart, landing at no.8. In repeating the exact same achievement in 2009, he now stands, quite unequivocally, as America’s no.1 club DJ.

Early History: Born in Eschwege, central Germany, Markus emigrated to the United States. Age 13, his dance music awakening came during the grip of the country’s then-exploding breakdance scene. His early production and DJ career roughly tracked that of the Stateside 2nd coming of House and he caught his first production break in 1993 when he remixed Sagat’s ‘Why Is It? (F** Dat)’ for FFrr. Markus’ freshman production release followed in 1994 with the 6-track-strong ‘Plastik Trax EP Vol 1’. Throughout the mid to late Nineties he continued to pull in early acclaim with a range of releases on numerous US luminary labels. In 1998 he recorded ‘You Won’t See Me Cry’ for Plastik Records (his first label), a release which was picked up by Eve Records for the UK. This became Markus’ first international calling card… The world had started to tune in.

Markus Schulz – The DJ: Through his natural audience affinity, flawless (and seemingly effortless) mixing and innate tune selection, he has wowed crowds in pretty much every major district, principality and metropolis. Schulz’s DJ career has, to the greater degree, run parallel to that of his productions. In the early Noughties, having fixed focus on the hinterland between trance & progressive, he began to reach audiences further and further afield. In 2004 he was signed to the David Lewis Productions agency (also home of the World’s No.1 DJ Armin van Buuren) and his career took another big step forward. Now a regular fixture at the world’s biggest & most famous clubs, arenas and festivals, he lays down his unique trance-progressive vision on a weekly basis. In Europe, he’s smashed Trance Energy, Nature One & Dance Valley, worked tent-pegs loose at Creamfields & Global Gathering and brought gridlock to the Love Parade. Stateside the colossal Electric Daisy & Ultra Festivals have both felt the Schulz pressure and yet further afield still he’s induced floor upheaval in China and Australia (most recently at the Future Music Festival). After several significant showings in the Top 100 DJs chart, he now ranks as one of the top 10 DJs in the world and in 2008 was voted Best American DJ at the IDMAs.

Coldharbour Recordings: Schulz’s sound notably came quickest to the ears of continental European DJs. Following the formation of the Armada group in 2005, Armin sought Markus out and asked him to start compiling tracks for a new vinyl series. The Coldharbour Sessions EPs launched in 2004 (with the first 3 releases coming out on the already established Electronic Elements label). In quick succession they began to leave crater-like impacts on dancefloors and within 12 months Coldharbour the label was born. Named after Markus’ then-production base in London’s Coldharbour Lane, its output immediately brought a new fission sound to Armada. It also became a lightning rod for a new generation of prog-inclined producers – setting in motion the careers of (amongst others) Santiago Nino, Rex Mundi, Mark Otten & Niklas Harding. With 2005 under the spell of Coldharbour’s more sophisticated, minimal, but still melodic take on the prog-trance sound, Markus struck again with the first Coldharbour Sessions mix compilation. Such has been the success of the imprint that in 2007 it was joined by a sub-label, Coldharbour Red. This, in turn, was a launch pad for Marcus Schössow, tyDi, Glenn Morrison & Evol Waves and was the point of re-entry for early Schulz side-project, Dakota (see Dakota section below). Six years after its birth, in 2010, Coldharbour stands at the top tier of the world’s trance & progressive labels and stands on the threshold of its 100th release.

M.S. Productions 2005 – 2010: Perfectly intersecting the quality/quantity axis, Markus’ own productions have been the most fundamental of components in marshalling clubbers and music lovers to his sound. Over the course of the last half-decade tracks like ‘First Time’ & ‘Without You Near’ (2005), ‘Fly To Colours’, ‘Never Be The Same’ & ‘I Am’ (2007) ‘Perfect’ & ‘Cause You Know’ (2008) & most recently ‘The New World’ & ‘Do You Dream’ have each played their vital part. Markus is also a keen production collaborator. In 2005 he famously teamed up with likeminded producers Gabriel & Dresden and Departure for ‘Without You Near’ and in mid-2008 did the same with Andy Moor on ‘Daydream’ and most recently on ‘Goodbye’ with Max Graham. The impact of all the singles has been cauterized by his studio albums ‘Without You Near’ (2005), ‘Progression’ (2007). In February 2010, Schulz completed recording his third long-player, ‘Do You Dream?’, which is scheduled for release in June 2010.

The Global DJ Broadcast show: Now in its fifth year Schulz’s GDJB has continued to be a beacon for an always-growing throng of trance & progressive dance fans. Broadcast through leading station DI.fm and Sirius/XM satellite, the Global DJ Broadcast site and 50+ other FM stations around the planet, it has become every bit required listening for the EDM-savvy. Based on a regular format, the first show of each month is a two hour long mix from one of Schulz’s rolling World Tour gigs – ones that have of late included Medellin, Columbia, St Petersberg, Russia & Amnesia in Ibiza. Subsequent shows in the month feature Markus mixing his broad-span pick of the current electronic dance music best for an hour (which includes the forum-voted Global Selection track of the week) followed by guest mixes from both established and up-and-coming DJs.

Markus Schulz – The City Albums:Markus is also responsible for one of the longest running and most respected compilation album series in trance history. Kicking off in 2005 in Miami, its city-hopping concept has gone on to spotlight Ibiza in ’06, Amsterdam in ’08, & Toronto in ’09. Most recently he homed in on Las Vegas for an album that Mixmag said: “managed the rarity of living up to the hype” and “ranked as his best yet”). Providing a microcosmic view of his sound, they have become cornerstones for fans CD & mp3 collections, with each new travelogue edition bringing in a fresh wave of supporters. Notably, the Amsterdam ’08 release was nominated for an IDMA award for Best Full Length DJ Mix (in the same year that Markus took home the trophy for Best American DJ).

Remixes: Markus powered into remix action in the early 90s with a 30+ volley of high-profile reworks. Over the course of the decade he re-tooled the production works of Euro dominators like The Real McCoy & Technotronic, house masters & divas Armand van Helden & Liz Torres, legendary Nineties icons RuPaul, Bette Midler & Sandra Bernhard and fully-fledged A-listers like Madonna. As the Millennium arrived though he began to work on deeper, more intrinsically electronic dance fare… In 2000 he remixed trance innovator Pablo Gargano’s ‘Absolution’, PQM’s Renaissance classic ‘The Flying Song’ and Fatboy Slim’s ‘Sunset (Bird of Prey). Satisfied that he’d found the right dance strata to focus on Markus has gone on to rewire tracks by Oceanlab, Motorcycle, Dance 2 Trance, Cosmic Gate, Nalin & Kane, Kyau & Albert, John O’Callaghan, & Space Manoeuvres amongst many, many others.

Markus Schulz aka: Dakota: Markus has only made rare use of pseudonyms through his career – seeing them as being only valuable if they represent an outlet for something other than his ‘regular’ output. At the turn of the last decade Schulz released 3 tracks (‘Swirl’, ‘Frozen’ & ‘Lost in Brixton’) under the moniker Dakota. Over time these became focal points for the year-on-year exponential intake of new fans. In 2009 Schulz paid dividend to that by resurrecting the guise, updating its sound and directed his attentions on a whole album of new Dakota material. ‘Thoughts Become Things’ was the end product and with it came a route diversion that went into a new valley-deep sound – one that expanded to embrace the fringes of techno, house and other sub-genres. It once again fortified the Schulz’s fanbase and expanded the range of DJ support for his music. The album has thus far justified 7 single releases that have included particular fan-favourites ‘Chinook’, ‘Johnny the Fox’, ‘Koolhaus’ & ‘Mr Cappuccino’.

Dj of the week - Fedde Le Grand

Fedde le Grand is, without doubt, one of the biggest DJs in the world. His skills both inside and out of the studio are the stuff legends are made of. Whether he’s demolishing legendary State-side festival Coachella on his debut appearance; racking up a straight hat-trick of Beatport #1’s in the overall charts with Autosave, Control Room and his massive remix of EBTG’s Missing, completing the year with So Much Love and the massive remix of Colplay’s Paradise; or touring most of the known world devastating clubland as he goes – le Grand is the name on everyone’s lips. But like any superstar success story, our hero had to start somewhere…

No biography of the Dutch artist could pass without mentioning 2006’s Put Your Hands Up For Detroit. It took one of Holland’s most successful national DJs and propelled him to truly giddy heights of international stardom. The track was number 1 in five countries – Spain, Russia, Finland, Bulgaria and the notoriously hard to crack UK chart – and scooped a raft of gongs including Best Underground House Track, Best Breaks/Electro Track, Best Breakthrough Solo Artist at the IMDA and, Club Banger of The Year at the 6th Annual Club Awards in Miami. His name was everywhere, from radio and print to TV and online media. The world woke up to the blistering and dynamic production work of Fedde le Grand, and he hadn’t even scratched the surface of what was to follow.

Releasing through Flamingo Recordings, Fedde cemented his reputation as a leading force in house with tracks like Let Me Think About It, The Creeps, 3 Minutes To Explain, Let Me Be Real, Back & Forth and Rockin’ High. The music flowed and he dominated the upper echelons of dance charts everywhere. Remix requests came pouring in from the biggest stars on the planet: Will.i.am, Robbie Williams and then Madonna came knocking on Fedde’s door asking for a le Grand-style reworking of her hit Give It 2 Me.

It wasn’t just the commercial house sound where Fedde excelled. As early as April 2006 he began experimenting with his darker, more minimal tech-house sound. Tracks like Take No Shhh, Aah Yeah, the Bad Ass EP, Just Trippin’, F1, Amplifier, Pink Bird and The Joker won him an elite group of fans and confirmed his position as one of the most versatile producers of our time and a true master of both the underground and over ground sounds.

In 2009, the world waited as news that Fedde was taking time out to produce his first studio artist album began to filter through. Output was a breath-taking debut album where Fedde pulled in his loves of house, electro, hip-hop, funk and jazz and fashioned a piece of work that was both incredibly personal and dance floor dynamite. Collaborations with Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas, Rob Birch (Stereo MCs), MC Gee, Mr V, Mitch Crown, Camille Jones, Ida Corr and more provided Fedde with a rich and diverse pool of vocal talent to wrap his ideas around. Successfully released to over 60 countries around the world, it yet again proved Fedde could consistently push himself past his previous successes and was hungry for more.

Just as important, Fedde has proven that he belongs to the best DJ’s with his outstanding mixing skills to match his musical releases. His energetic performances are the stuff turntable legends are made of, his deft and devastating action behind the decks often flooring observers as he moves at lightening pace; twisting this sound, dropping that beat, chopping and changing between tracks until the dance floor is throbbing to his ministrations. Fedde le Grand is titanic in the DJ booth, as the biggest clubs and festivals the world over pay testament to time and time again. His Takeover concept, unveiled in 2010, saw Fedde take complete creative control over his performances, defining the music policy, guest DJs, even lighting and visual décor to fulfil the Dutchman’s vision of the perfect party. From world exclusive residencies at Ministry of Sound London and Pacha Ibiza, to roadblock events in all four corners of the world – LA, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Boston, San Diego, Denver, Tampa, Miami, Texas, Las Vegas, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, South Africa, Switzerland, Ireland, France, Romania, Ukraine, Montenegro, Turkey, Tunisia, Spain, Italy, Germany, Croatia, Greece, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Belgium, Macedonia and more – the planet has fully capitulated to Fedde le Grand’s Takeover.

The constant traveling and hard work more than paid off in October 2011 when he soared seven places up the influential DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Chart from 21 to 14. With fans everywhere clamouring for more and more of le Grand, it would not be an unwise bet that the Flying Dutchman rises even further up the Chart come the 2011 results.

As a creative producer, an inspirational DJ, and an artist in the truest sense of the word, the passion, integrity and sheer weight of individuality and originality that Fedde brings to the table sees him take his place as one of the most influential electronic pioneers of modern times. Only one-question remains – if this is what Fedde le Grand has achieved so far, what more is there to come?
